About MET Calicut
The Mujahid Education Trust started its activities in the year 1976. The first project undertaken by MET is the establishment of an aided UP School at Civil Station, Calicut with the recognition of the Government of Kerala. This school was meant for economically backward class children who were not able to persue their studies at unaided schools.
The problem
In 2009 MET identified the need for a new online presence. A website was required that could demonstrate the work that the Trust does as well as attract new members and volunteers for its numerous wildlife projects.
There was a strong need for the Trust to be able to update and manage the website itself to keep costs down. Zsenda discussed with MET and prepared a comprehensive list of how they’d like their new website to work for them as well as a wish list of some other things they’d like to see on their site. This list gave us a greater understanding of their future vision and allowed us to see very early on how far forward we could technically take MET and their website.
The Zsenda Solution
The completely developed website was designed with a unique, contemporary, fresh and relevant look and feel. Each main activities of the trust has been highlighted with big spotlights within the home page. The site also incorporates an improved and intelligent navigation and content structure. Emphasis and careful consideration was placed upfront during the project’s initial phases on a well thought-out UX and wireframe for each template and module.
All functional requirements had also been met with the use of our ZsendaPress Content Management System and several custom web parts.
